Rocky Mount Municipal Building RenovationsRocky Mount, Virginia
The Town of Rocky Mount first built their current municipal building in 1975 and they have not had any modernizations or ugrades to the facility in the past 30 years. Spectrum Design was hired to perform architectural and engineering design services for this long awaited renovation. The renovations provided more space for town offices, a renovation of the former space of the police department, replacement of old carpet and the installation of a fire sprinkler system.
The size of the Town Council's Chambers reduced from 202 seats to 94 seats. There is a curved, horseshoe-shaped dais installed which allows council members to see each other during the meetings. These renovations will meet the Town's office needs for the next 30 years.
