The service area and client base for ValleyStar Credit Union experienced significant growth, with an increase in membership and geographic coverage area expected to increase in the future. In order to provide an environment that allows more cohesive management and support, ValleyStar decided to bring their leadership team and corporate level support staff under one roof in a new centrally located headquarters complex located in Franklin County, Virginia. The new Headquarters takes advantage of panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Connection to the outdoors was important to the client, and natural elements were brought inside where possible – most notably in the sweeping glulam roof structure that defines the building. The design is also setup to allow for resets and reconfiguration including a future Phase 2 addition to the West side of the site.
