Heartwood
The building proudly stands as a gateway to all that the region has to offer. Elements of vernacular farm buildings in the region were translated with modern materials to create an organized network of galleries that capture light and views. Located adjacent to Interstate 81, the building engages visitors from all directions while taking advantage of picturesque views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. The LEED Certified building features a closed loop geothermal well HVAC system as well as a rainwater harvesting system.
