Renovate a dilapidated historic community movie theater into a multi-use facility equipped to serve a wide range of functions.
Lincoln Theatre
Built in 1929 as a community movie theater, the Lincoln experienced heavy deterioration after sitting vacant for many years. The complete renovations included new mechanical and electrical systems, stage lighting and sound systems, new toilet facilities, new dressing rooms, and accessibility improvements. The work also included a complete refurbishment of an elaborate Mayan motif. The building regularly accommodates performances on a new thrust stage and can host traveling shows with up to 500 spectators. Currently, the Lincoln is home to Song of the Mountains, an award winning, nationally televised PBS live concert series devoted to bluegrass music.
