Located within the majestic “Andy Guest” Shenandoah River State Park, the new visitor’s center celebrates its surrounding landscape while providing information and necessary amenities for guests.
Shenandoah River State Park Visitor’s Center
The heavy timber structure and expansive glass viewing walls blur the division between inside and out. The Shenandoah River State Park Visitor’s Center includes a reception area and gift shop with access to a covered deck for viewing the valley and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River 180 vertical feet below. The LEED Certified building sits at the trailhead of a network of trails and it includes bicycle racks, bathrooms, and showers.
